Is that simplification of the left side correct? Shouldn't it be 2(x-y)(1-dy/dx)= (2x-2y)(1-dy/dx) = 2x-2xy'-2y+2ydy/dx' = 2(x-y) -2xdy/dx'+2ydy/dx' = 2(x-y) -2dy/dx(x+y) ??? Where did the (x+y) go?
