Teeth of plant - eaters : Teeth of plant - eaters Plant eating animals have two types of teeth: the front teeth and the cheek teeth. These are separated by a toothless gap.
The front teeth are in the front side of the mouth.
When grazing the animals us e the front teeth to tear off grass or leaves.
The cheek teeth are used to chew the food.
