guideline : guideline Duration of the test is 30 to 40 min
Each section has 10 questions, making a total of 40 questions
There are 4 sections, each section is for 4 to 5 min
A CD player or overhead sound system is used to play the test
once the recording has started you can not enter or leave the room
You hear the recording only ONCE
Write your answer on the question paper as you listen
You are given time to transfer your answer to an answer sheet

The types of questions you get are:
Pick from a list
Form filling
Labeling a map or a plan
Pick from the list : Pick from the list You pick correct answer from a list of options
There are two or three answers to pick from six options
The options are labelled A, B, C, etc.
You must read the questions carefully and see how many options to pick up
Underline or highlight the key words from the main question
Read the list of options and underline or highlight any key words
As you listen choose the correct option

You can write numbers in words
Read the instructions carefully to see how many words you can write
Look at the form and the information and decide what is it about

Look at the map /plan to form a general idea of the content
Look at the parts of the plan you need to label and decide what kinds of words or numbers are needed
Use the words already provided in the map/ plan to guide you
When you listen pay particular attention to expressions of location such as in the middle, on the corner, next to, etc
