Genus : Genus The aggregation of closely related species

Grizzly bear or brown bear (Ursus arctos),
Polar bear (U. maritimus) and
Black bear (U. americanus) are. Three different species belonging to same genus Ursus
Slide 5 : Similarly, potato, tomato and brinjal are three different species All belong to the genus Solanum

Jagaur (Panthera onca) : Jagaur (Panthera onca)
Tiger (Panthera tigris) : Tiger (Panthera tigris)
Leopard (Panthera pardus) : Leopard (Panthera pardus) All have many common features, therefore, they are all species of the genus Panthera.
Family : Family Genera having some common characters are placed in one family. We are part of primate family
