Welcome to Operation Zook! : You have been appointed to be sent on a mission to study about the various animal species found on Planet Earth.
You will create a model animal galleria that will be built to educate your fellow soldiers in Planet Fook about these animal species. This exhibit will help the armed forces to strategize a plan to conquer Earth.
To be able to do so, you have been divided into sections of 6 soldiers each. The section that provides the greatest amount of information will be rewarded by your Royal Highness.

Task : Task Most animals found on Planet Earth can be grouped according to the classes listed below.
- Mammals
- Fishes
- Birds
- Insects
- Reptiles
- Amphibians
Each section would comprise of 6 animal class researchers.
In each section, a soldier will choose a different animal class to study.
It is your responsibility to learn the common characteristics of animals belonging to each class and share it with your fellow comrades.
Process…Day 1 : Process…Day 1 1) In your groups of 6, please decide who will be studying each class of animals.
2) Now that you have chosen your animal class, use the links in the Resources page to find out the characteristics of animals in that class. You should complete the online worksheet found at the beginning of the resources for each animal class as you look through the resources.
3) After checking your answers in the online worksheet, you should create a Concept Map showcasing the various characteristics of that animal class.
4) You should e-mail the concept map to your teacher by the end of the first period.
Process… Day 2 : Process… Day 2 4) In the next period, review your marked concept maps.
5) Return to your groups with your concept map and share what you have learned with your fellow group members.
6) In your groups come up with a list of animals and classify them into the various classes.
7) Decide on how you are going to present to your King the different types of animals that you have learnt about and how do you think the gallery for viewing of the animals should look like.
8) You should fill up the Survey Form posted in the Planet Fook blog by the end of the second period.
9) Come up with a creative Model of the Gallery that you plan to construct in Planet Fook by next week’s lesson.
10) Write up a paragraph consisting of no more that 100 words to explain why you have designed the Galleria in such a manner.
11) You should use the blog to communicate with your peers and teacher if you are facing any difficulties.

I am very pleased with the effort you have put into studying the animal species found on Earth.
After some discussion with my ministers, I have decided to present the reward to __________.We will be using their model to construct an animal galleria for educating our soldiers on the characteristics of their enemy.
