Description
The visual arts promotes health and wellness, ignites creative thought, and fuels personal empowerment. Technology provides the opportunity for active learners to connect with museums, galleries, and talent experts worldwide. This presentation will show educators how to not only bring art into their classrooms but bring art into the lives of non-traditional students.

Leslie Redhead is an international award winning artist and teacher known for her dramatic water colours. Her art focuses on the combination of spontaneity and detail that water colour has to offer. She continues to explore the possibilities and pushes her medium beyond its limitations to achieve luminous and incredible results. Leslie finds the versatility of water colour to be exciting and fresh. Her paintings and knowledge of this challenging medium are now in demand worldwide.

Leslie graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelor’s degree and is currently pursuing her Masters of Art Education at the University of Victoria.

The artist conducts workshops in Canada, the US, and Spain. Her work is featured in the books "Splash 10: Passionate Brush strokes from the Splash: Best of Watercolor series" and in "Leslie Redhead: the life of an artist".

Leslie is an amazing artist. You may view some of Leslie's beautiful drawings on her blog.
