PHOTOSYNTHESISINTRODUCTIONPhotosynthesis is basically a Greek word. Photo, meaning " light," and synthesis, meaning “ to put together ".Photosynthesis is the process by which plants use energy derived from light in order to make food molecules from carbon dioxide and water. Process in which green plants utilize the energy of sunlight to manufacture carbohydrates from carbon dioxide and water in the presence of chlorophyll. The process of photosynthesis takes place in the chloroplasts, specifically using chlorophyll, the green pigment involved in photosynthesis.Photosynthesis occurs in plants, algae, and many species of Bacteria.Photosynthetic organisms are called photoautotrophs, since they can create their own food.IMPORTANCE OF PHOTOSYNTHESISPhotosynthesis is vital for all aerobic life on Earth . Because photosynthesis uses carbon dioxide and water releasing oxygen as a waste product. It helps in maintain the oxygen – carbon dioxide level in the atmosphere. It is the primary source of all food on earth.
