Description
The theorem that "any decent periodic function f(t) of period 2pi has can be written in exactly one way as a Fourier series" is proved. This video tells us that If the need arises, Fourier coefficients can be computed as integrals. Standard squarewave is discussed. The standard building block for all sorts of "on/off" periodic signals is explained. A decent function is defined and explained with example. Numerical problems based on Fourier series are solved.<br/>Prof. Arthur Mattuck, Maths, 18.03.Differential Equations, Spring 2010: 16: Continuation: More General Periods: Massachusetts Institute of Technology: MIT Open Course Ware),http://ocw.mit.edu (Accessed November 8, 2011).
