( 1) ויקח את בת לוי -פרוש היה ממנה מפני גזירת פרעה (וחזר ולקחה. וזהו וילך, שהלך בעצת בתו שאמרה לו גזרתך קשה משל פרעה, אם פרעה גזר על הזכרים, ואתה ג"כ על הנקבות). והחזירה ועשה בה לקוחין שניים. ואף היא נהפכה להיות נערה. ובת מאה שלושים שנה הייתה שנולדה בבואה למצרים בין החומות, ומאתים ועשר שנה נשתהו שם, וכשיצאו היה משה בן שמונים שנה. אם כן כשנתעברה ממנו הייתה בת מאה שלושים וקורא אותה בת לוי: ( 2) כי טוב הוא -כשנולד נתמלא הבית כולו אורה:( 6) ותפתח ותראהו -את מי ראתה? את הילד, זהו פשוטו. ומדרשו: שראתה עמו שכינה: והנה נער בכה -קולו כנער: ( 7) מן העברית -מלמד שהחזירתו על מצריות הרבה לינק ולא ינק, לפי שהיה עתיד לדבר עם השכינה: Bat Tzion Hebrew Learning Center (Ruidoso NM) Juan Mejía Parashat Shemot (Second Cycle) January 19, 2009Exodus 1.18-2.10 18. And his sister stood far away, to see what would be done to him. 5. And the daughter of Pharaoh came down to wash herself at the river; and her maidens walked along by the riverʼs side; and when she saw the ark among the reeds, she sent her maid to fetch it. 6. And when she had opened it, she saw the child; and, behold, the baby wept. And she had compassion on him, and said, This is one of the Hebrewsʼ children. 7. Then said his sister to Pharaohʼs daughter, Shall I go and call for you a nurse of the Hebrew women, that she may nurse the child for you? 8. And Pharaohʼs daughter said to her, Go. And the girl went and called the childʼs mother. 9. And Pharaohʼs daughter said to her, Take this child away, and nurse it for me, and I will give you your wages. And the woman took the child, and nursed it. 10. And the child grew, and she brought him to Pharaohʼs daughter, and he became her son.
