they couldn't figure out how to work with the diversities within their group

Bilingual course - can be used for language-learning 11. A medium for cooperation (potentially) between LOTS of PC teachers / innovators all over the world 12. A way to find truly cooperative colleagues to work with (few already imitating us but not collaborating)

Transition) which we later discovered was (/ decided to name as) an "Integral PC Curriculum" (the PDC+++) Equivalent to the standard PDC An advanced PDC & action-learning course

Slide 9 : AQAL = All Quadrants All Levels ... Etc. = The Integral Model (Ken Wilber) Permaculture is by DEFINITION an Integral Science .. in theory Although in PRACTICE it too often isn't PEOPLE-CARE & ECO-ECONOMY EARTH-CARE & ECO-TECH

the butterfly ship : the butterfly ship we've been sailing on this vessel for evolutionaries since april 2011 25 people on a year-long design cruise across the chartered oceans of applied knowledge in all aspects of sustainability design PermaCultureScience.com is the starting port for this adventure (new adventurers can board at any time)

Slide 12 : individual collective internal external Current PC is BRILLIANT at designing with these domains: the concrete, physical, visible & least controversial known models. If we give up on the SCIENCE of these domains, we leave a vacuum that gets filled with lots of NewAge pseudo-spirituality Site & Energy components Invisible & Social components PEOPLE-CARE & ECO-ECONOMY EARTH-CARE & ECO-TECH 1) "we need to be doing work for the people-care ethic"

Slide 13 : 8 years of Action-Learning Programmes (3-5mths) RESULTS: too few (10%) made significant shifts in their internal or external development as PC designers (compared to resources input) OBTAIN a YIELD Although they can make wonderful holidays &/or can be big wake-up calls, we didn't wish to add to an already saturated eco-experience-shopping market (a new eco-consumerism for westerners )

Slide 14 : Ineffectiveness of green movement: We don't design organizations well (we're not taught how) lack of cooperation or fertile connections between movements (inside & outside of PC) not enough 'joining up the dots' happening Lack of collective intelligence means 3) Increase Collective Intelligence

Slide 16 : C. (Spain): "All of this (that is happening with the course: classes, my study circle..) is a great stimulus for me to move out of my comfort zone ... in which I am still very hidden. Lucky this lasts one year!!

Slide 17 : MJ (Spain): "Well, in summary: the best cash I've spent in my life! I love everything I've learned, am playing with what am learning in my immediate surroundings, I feel enriched on a personal level. I thank you for letting this be a free process for each of us & for offering us so many tools for completing the learning to the extent that each of us wants to.

Slide 18 : D. (Belgium): "Module 1 was very inspiring for me, though I don't feel like I have grasped all of it yet. The integral model stuff is really brilliant, I use that a lot. Also the group exercises are neat - think/listens, vision support groups and all of that".

Slide 19 : M. (USA): "I LOVED Module 1 - learned a lot and had plenty of insights along the way. Thank you Stella and Cesar for the Design Portfolio! It is starting to dawn on me the beautiful work you guys do... You are like the teachers I never had, but always wished for. The depth you go to is the depth I longed for in my teenage years... I suspect that what Stella and Cesar have done to the PeopleCare portion of Permaculture is on par with what Bill Mollison & David Holmgren did to Earthcare

In what they agree : In what they agree Application on the real life and real projects Accessibility – No need for travel & accessible for parents with young children (who are involving their sons & daughters in their action-learning!) Better personal & individual attention for each person Supportive relationships (and we hope life-long ones :o) High level of dialogue and of design work (plenty of time for reflexion & experimentation in a supportive environment)
