Description
The lecture compares the concept of symmetry of universe with that of classical mechanics.Symmetry examples considered are translation, rotation, parity and boost. It lists the use of different kinds of symmetry, namely, Lorentz symmetry , diffeomorphism symmetry gauge symmetry in theory of Physics.Symmetry in classical mechanics deals with invariance under Galillean transformation and summary of space time transformation is given. Method of transformation of force, velocity, energy and momentum is explained.
