A Case Study Approach: Moodle Timed Online Quiz & Learning new educational technology MMVC11 online conference from August 17 17-21, 2011 By: Malini B. Currently, Coordinator for Centre for Educational Technology & Faculty & give Invited Lectures in a State-University Pioneering an online Quiz in an Indian Private Univesity-2011 My team had prepared an online quiz using Moodle. Students were more than 100, so a challenge to manage the students as computers were limited Then asking each student to individually register ( groups were formed to use computers) Results/Experiences as told by students: The students found it very fair and transparent The gratification of getting your score right away was very motivating for students. Report of the score could be generated right away and emailed to all the head of the departments. Reports could be exported in Excel sheets.Moodle Experience Moodle if kept simple and limited to few students is an awesome LMS and simpler. While taking a class as a student on Moodle, I feel I sometimes would get confused in what assignments and also too much information from so many peers.. (Just a thought!!any ideas??) Downloading of Moodle and uninstall and re-install was problematic but at times very simple. It has too many features which is great Still trying to learn & master Moodle.Reference: www.google.comNew Web 2.0 tools WiZiQ in Moodle for live webconferencing . http://org.wiziq.com/moodle/( I still have to try this, but tried something similar before.) http://typewith.me/PORzOQlBnB type with me is another free way of sharing a document and collaborating with each other. Description
Case Study Approach: Timed online Quiz with Malini B

The presentation will demonstrate a case study approach in using a timed online quiz using Moodle as an LMS for screening University students and their feedbacks and challenges. The pioneering experience of moodle in his university was challenging both for students and faculty. Also, this presentation will try to show some of the benefits in using moodle and limitations.Moodle is an open source platform which makes it so affordable for any institute. I have personally used many LMS and intinno is another one of them. Also many projects where a team had custom designed moodle for individual institutes.,
