Dedicant’s Path Through the Wheel of the YearWeek 42: Seventh High Day Recap : Dedicant’s Path Through the Wheel of the YearWeek 42: Seventh High Day Recap Presented by Rev. Jessie “Medb” Olson ~ Based on Our Own Druidry and The ADF Dedicant Path Through the Wheel of the Year

Review : Review How is your work with nature going? Have you been working on your books? How is your work with your home shrine going?

Related to Requirement : Related to Requirement #8 – High Days Attended

Introduction : Introduction You've made it through your seventh ritual, which means there is only one more for you to go through during this turn of the wheel of the year! It's now time to add to your essays for the Dedicant Path documentation by writing a recap of the rite!

Discussion : Discussion First, we've provided a sort of ritual write-up template that will help you get all the commonly needed details down in Appendix 2. You cannot just turn in a number of those sheets and expect to pass this requirement, though: you need to be much more in-depth. So grab some paper and start thinking about the rite by asking some good questions.

Discussion : Discussion How did the rite go in terms of structure? What things went wrong during the ritual? What things went right? Who were the patrons of the rite, and who was the gatekeeper?

Discussion : Discussion Were you alone, or with a group? If you were with a group, did you say anything or do anything? Did you have problems with saying the words without stumbling, or did everything come out smoothly? Did you forget to bring a sacrifice?

Discussion : Discussion How did the rite go in terms of function and feeling? Did you feel anything during the ritual? Did you experience doubt or confidence? Can you describe what happened? If you were with a group, what did the other people say about what happened?

Discussion : Discussion What omens were drawn (if any), and what did they tell you? Could you feel the presence of any deities, spirits, or powers? What else about the rite struck you, or do you want to share?

Discussion : Discussion If you answer those questions, you've just finished another essay for the Dedicant Path documentation!

Homework : Homework Remember to continue your meditation. Go to your special spot in nature. Keep reading your book! Keep working with your home shrine. Start getting ready for Mabon (fall equinox), its just around the corner!
