This note on special relativity begins with Galilean transformation. An example of motion of a ship and a sail boat is considered with respect to ground frame. taking an example of a man in a train Galilean acceleration has speed calculated. in another example of stellar aberration the conclusion arrived is that ether is not dragged around with the earth. and lastly Michelson- Morley experiment has been described and explained.
