Description
Dynamics of a rigid body is compared with that of a particle. net torque on a cylinder is calculated.Internal forces on an isolated system, torque on conical pendulum are the application of above theories. Relation between torque and angular acceleration and related formulae derived. Angular acceleration of a drum with string wrapped around it is calculated. The next topic is torque due to gravity. The examples considered are that of a rod and a rod with two mass at its end.
