Parametric equations, arclength, surface area of a curve.

Description
Arc length of a curve is calculated taking several points on the curve and joining them approximately by straight line. The idea of infinitesimal of calculus is applied to find the arc length of a curve. The formula of arc length is represented in all possible ways here. Application of the parametric formula is shown through some examples.
