Description
Topics are mainly from wave optics, namely Interference, Interference due to thin films. Example of such films are soap bubble and oil films. The conflict between the wave theory and particle nature is explained using Huygen's - FresnelsPrinciple andYoung's double slit experiment An experiment shows the interference pattern. The slides showing interference pattern of white light are also rare. Interference of sound waves are demonstrated with two microphones and related calculations. A brilliant show of interference pattern due to thin soap film should not be missed.
