Description
This video will teach you to solve consecutive word problems.
For example:
The sum of five consecutive integers is 495, what is the greatest integer?
The first number is X, the second number is X+1, the third number is X+2, the fourth number is X+3 and the fifth number is X+4.
Then you add your numbers:
X + X+ 1+ X+ 2+ X + 3+ X + 4 =495
5X+ 10= 495
5X= 485
X= 97
The largest number is X+4 = 97 + 4= 101
You can check your answer:

97+ 98+ 99+ 100+ 101= 495
