Description
Energy in electric field and magnetic field and hence the total field is calculated.Poynting vector is expressed in terms of E-vector alone is expressed.Value of Poynting vector for the surface of earth is calculated and solar constant is defined.Generation of e.m field by an accelerated charge is explained. The derivation for the same is also discussed.A demonstration involves accelerated charge generates light. In order to accelerate charge it has to be put in an e.m wave.Rayleigh scattering and linear polarization is also included.Watch the professor smoking a cigarette and explaining Rayleigh Scattering.
