Description
You will get the knowledge of the 'be' verbs 'is, am and are'. The children will be amused to see the picture and the explanation. It is very easy to follow. If you are familiar with these three verbs, you can simply view it as a review. The children can view them interestingly as some animated pictures are found here.After getting familiar with the verbs, the children can try to solve the exercise given. The answers for the exercise also given in the next frame. One can check his answer himself.

PARTS OF SPEECH VERBS (‘BE’ – VERBS) : PARTS OF SPEECH VERBS (‘BE’ – VERBS) SHALL WE LEARN ABOUT ‘BE’ VERBS?

Slide 6 : A verb is a word which shows action or state of being. The verb is the heart of a sentence i.e. every sentence must have a verb.

Slide 7 : IT IS A ROSE.

Slide 9 : SHE IS A SMART GIRL

Slide 10 : In the sentence She is a smart girl, there is no action but a state of being expressed by the verb is. The word be is different from other verbs in many ways but can still be thought of as a verb.
