Description
Topic of discussion is forced oscillation. Spring system without driving force is first considered. The differential equation derived, solutions are found and graphs are explained. All the theoretical portions are backed by splendid demonstrations using a spring system on an air track.Power at resonance is calculated, the graph between power and omega analysed.Resonance of LCR circuit is also included.Resonance absorption explains Fraunhoffer absorption lines. As always the class ends with a spectacular absorption spectra using sodium vapour and white light.
