Slide 2 : PRESENT PERFECT is used to refer to an action that has happened in any moment of your life in the past, this past is NOT SPECIFIED IT also refers to an action that STARTED IN THE PAST AND CONTINUES INTO THE PRESENT

Slide 3 : I / YOU / WE / THEY HAVE NEVER__________________ HE / SHE / IT HAS NEVER__________________ It refers to an action that UNTIL TODAY you have NOT DONE (VERB IN PAST PARTICIPLE)

Slide 4 : This means “any moment in your life” until NOW HAVE_____EVER______? HAS_____EVER______? He / she/ it I / you / we / they Verb in past participle: forgotten, taken, spoken

Slide 5 : I / YOU / WE / THEY HAVE ALREADY____________ HE / SHE / IT HAS ALREADY____________ Use “ALREADY” for an action that has been completed

Slide 6 : I / YOU / WE / THEY HAVEN’T ____________ YET HE / SHE / IT HASN’T ____________ YET Use YET for an action that hasn’t been completed or done, up to THIS MOMENT I HAVEN’T RIDDEN A RACE HORSE YET (VERB IN PAST PART.)

Slide 7 : HE / SHE / IT HAS _________FOR I / YOU / WE / THEY HAVE _________ FOR 2 DAYS ONE HOUR 6 MONTHS 3 WEEKS 5 YEARS Use “FOR” to express that an action HAS CONTINUED FOR A PERIOD OF TIME I HAVE LIVED IN MARACAY FOR SIX MONTHS

Slide 8 : I / YOU / WE / THEY HAVE _________ SINCE SHE / HE/ IT HAS _________ SINCE SEPTEMBER 2008 MONDAY 9 AM Use “SINCE” to INDICATE THE MOMENT an action started and that it CONTINUES IN THE PRESENT I HAVE TAUGHT ENGLISH SINCE SEPTEMBER
