In this lecture, first of all students become familiar with the syllabi of this particular course. Then the atomic theory is explained. The postulates of Daltons atomic theory are explained and some relavant examples are taken to understand the topic. The conclusion is being given that atom was not the basic element of matter. Discovery of electron is also discussed.
