Description
In this lecture a catalysis are discussed. a catalyst is a substance that speeds up a reaction, but it doesn't get consumed in the reaction, it doesn't undergo any permanent change itself. It can either increase the speed(positive catalyst) and other which is used to decrease the speed(negative catalyst). Catalysis are not only used in chemical reactions but also in our day to day life so their study is vary important.Prof. Catherine Drennan and Dr. Elizabeth Vogel Taylor, 5.111 Principles of Chemical Science, Fall 2008, Massachusetts Institute of Technology: MIT OpenCourseWare), http://ocw.mit.edu (Accessed March 4, 2011).
