This is ther presentation for my class on matching where I will try to give some new ideas to (VP)OGX of AIESEC Germany interested in this topic ;) I will talk about two possible views about the topic where the first view includes only the activities from expectation check with the EP until the myaiesec.net Match, and where the second view includes a very broad sight of the topic because here I will include ideas how in the processes in Recruitment and Selection you nowadays should make sure that your matching will be a very very very easy work!

Slide 6 : This was two years ago, what was good then can not be wrong today, but, BIG BUT, there have come new ideas that must be considered part of „Matching“ in 2011…

Research and Marketing : Research and Marketing Establish LC-2-LC cooperations, esp. with LCs you have matched before NC TNs: Use all Communication Channels to achieve as many who match and you can work with, C TNs: Find those you know you will match Involve Returnees/Trainees even more into the Recruitment Find local Market Gaps for your Offers! Always listen and ask your MC/NST and their services (e.g. the NXPs) offered Embrace new ideas! Most of the time what has not been done yet brings success!

Application and Pre-Selection : Application and Pre-Selection Either do an Interview (predefined questionnaire) or an Assessment Center together with a company to find your EPs Case Study AIESEC in Brazil (much stricter to Newies than in Germany, other reputation) Website where you can register for DT/ET or MT/TT or apply to work in the LC If you have the required background you are invited to an intensive interview If given a yes to you corresponding next steps are undertaken by LC (Allocation, Newie Conference for Members and EPs…)

Selection and Formalities : Selection and Formalities AI has now introduced the new Exchange Program Policies (XPP), with the following major changes „International Control Board“ (Cp. Wiki on myaiesec.net) to guarantee Exchange Quality New Documents (Six overall, hosting and sending entities documents are more detailed) New Regulations (Mostly rules that strenghten the side of trainees that were not happy with the quality) There will be special trainings about it by the MC/NST

Preparation and Matching : Preparation and Matching What‘s new? Expectation check: In a way you already know the expectations, since you just contacted the „right“ students TN Search: A big part of them you have already via local/national cooperations/services, the rest (esp. for your members) you search „old-school“ and keep a big eye on Facebook, spreadsheets, e-mails etc Acceptance Notes: Cp. to XPP (new documents) Travel Refund: Has become more difficult to get now, no further information yet available

Internship and Reintegration : Internship and Reintegration Stay in touch preferably on Facebook Groups instead of only with their Blogs („I am a German EP“, or open local groups) Contact your EPs even or especially when everything is going good (Establish trust) For problem-solving consider new XPP regulations and with bad quality you can open up a case at ICB In the Selection Interview try to talk a lot about whether it is realistic for the EP to join the LC after the X
