Especially: Used to emphasize a particular from a general.

Exercise is healthy, especially running.
Description
Especially vs specially are two words that cause problems for native speakers and non-native speakers alike. The short story is the 'especially', for me, is like giving and example, but doing so with emphasis. 'Specially' is like saying that you did something for a special reason. I made this worksheet specially to help my students understand the difference. I must say, too, that I enjoy making learning materials, especially to help students improve their writing.
