In this life, what counts is what we do with the time we have. If we don’t act now at this Conference to solve the Bedouin problems they will cease to exist. We will lose a unique people, their culture, their history, their traditional hospitality, their culinary arts and traditional medicines. Where else do we see as many as four generations living under one roof or in a circle of extended family tents around a common hearth and communal kitchen. All that will remain are the faded photographs I resurrected for the photo collage on the back of this Briefing package.
