What is Energy?
In the simplest of terms, energy is. It is the heat that surrounds us, the light of the sun, the wind on our faces, and the starlight from the heavens. It is the essence of who we are and without it, we would not be. Energy has been called many things over the eons- chi, prahna, and the life-force. It is at once singular and all encompassing, and contains within itself all possibilities. Energy is more than what we see or feel, it can be soothing or cruel, but it has no mind or consciousness of its own. It is molded by the will of the user. It is this will that will determine either the fruitfulness or the destructive nature the energy will manifest.
The simplest energy to feel and understand (for me) is body heat. This is the first lesson for my pagan students. Body heat is a physical by-product of the energy that exists with our bodies. It is malleable and flexible, it can be molded to fit whatever shape you wish, and can act as a shield, or as a weapon. As a priestess, I have used my energy as a weapon on those who would do me harm. I have formed my energy into spikes and driven them into the chakra centers of my oppressors, in this respect, harm was never my intent- but distance. Those who would use psychic attacks should have the sense not to rush upon my defenses.
Body Heat- sitting in a comfortable, safe location, place your hands about 4-6 inches apart. Before long, you will feel the heat reverberating between your palms. This is energy in its most recognizable form. At this point, it can be shaped into whatever form you wish. Practice forming spheres and other geometric shapes, when you have mastered this, try expanding and contracting the shape to many different sizes. When you can do this successfully, you can easily work with energy.
Energy Shield- assume the position as detailed above. When you are comfortable, create a sphere about 3 feet in diameter between your hands. Now slowly (do not rush!) expand the sphere until you can step into it. This is a basic light shield. Notice it resembles a bubble. The bubble is important as it surrounds us completely, all four directions, as well as above and below. This is imperative, should you desire to use the shield for real psychic protection. Once you can do this, be creative; add spikes, blades, anything your mind can conjure to be a guard between you and any would-be attackers.
Divine Energy- Whatever path you follow, Pagan, Luciferian, whatever, this energy is considered to be either God-Energy, or Divine Self Energy. In the case of God-Energy, obviously we mean energy from the gods. This is harvested or gathered during ritual or moments of deep meditation with our gods. In the case of Divine Self, this is the part of us that is God; The Holy Self, which contains the seeds of all creation.
In my experience, which I admit, is limited, vampires (particularly psi) deal with energy at all times. They, for whatever reason, require an alternative source of energy. Knowing this, it can be theorized that they’d be at risk of psychic attack more often due to the nature of feeding that could possibly leave them open for brief periods of time. Assuming this is the case, and then I’d say we need much more protection than humans, or “mundanes”.
My personal shield has several layers, each distinct and a necessary part of the whole. The first, or innermost layer, is a shield of pure energy. This acts more as a filter than a shield, as it only allows friendly energy to be absorbed. The second layer is affectionately referred to as the “red rubber ball of doom”. It resembles the red balls we used to use in gym class for dodge ball. It returns negativity aimed at me back to the sender. The outermost layer is called my ‘Blender’ layer. This layer is a sphere made of blender blades that is fed by the energy of my chosen gods. The Egyptian Gods assisted me in creating and maintaining this shield that slices and dices any negative energy that attempts my shields. Should any get thru, the red ball bounces it back into the blades and back to the sender. This shield system has functioned without fail for the last 2 years.
Energy is. We are energy.
