About the Presenter:
Karen Blumberg has been teaching (mostly in Manhattan independent schools) for 15 years. She is in her fifth year as the Middle School Technology Integrator at The School at Columbia University, a unique K-8 school that serves the Harlem community and the Columbia faculty equally. Previously, Karen was the Middle School Technology Coordinator at Sacred Heart 91st Street, and a math teacher at The Dalton School and for The School District of Philadelphia. She is a member of ISTE, NCTM, NAIS, NYCIST, CSTA, and other professional organizations. She is an organizer of TEDxNYED, TEDxYouth@TheSchool, and the Robo Expo, and this year, Karen is president of the New York Consortium of Independent School Technologists. Karen earned a BA in Math and an MA in Instructional Technology and New Media. Karen is proud to finally own real estate, and though www.karenblumberg.com only exists virtually, she uses the site to document some of her recent technology integration experiences. She is passionate about digital photography, traveling, and good eats.
