Dynamic Assessment : Dynamic Assessment To promote development considering individuals’ abilities. To Transform those abilities through dialogic collaboration which means “transcendence”. To offer a descriptive profile of learners rather than a measure (number, letter, grade)

What is the role of the teacher then? : What is the role of the teacher then? The “language expert” becomes a “mediator” to reveal the depth of those abilities the learner possesses. Every mediator-interaction works as an instructional and evaluative function. Learners take as much responsibility for tasks.

Theory of DA : Theory of DA Vygotsky’s Sociocultural Theory of Mind Individuals are always mediated by cultural artifacts, social practices and activities Internal abilities become internalized and reemerge as new cognitive functions (independent performance) The individual no longer relies on the external environment and is able to self-mediate
