What is a short term AIESEC Experience? : What is a short term AIESEC Experience? Duration between 3-6 months. It always includes exchange. It s intense for the individual and for the organization, since the process are run really quickly & parallelly To make our structures more flexible and offer diversified experiences for different people

Why and when are short term AIESEC Experiences relevant? : Why and when are short term AIESEC Experiences relevant? External environment – more opportunities in different countries waiting for talented students Boosting results on specific pools, meeting specific needs in the external market AIESEC 2010 goals Cy-Cy/ LC-LC Cooperation Graduates Recruitment Students with developed competencies – to give them relevant opportunity Creating new peaks!

Pocket Recruitment Step by Step : Pocket Recruitment Step by Step Internal Research What are the TNs available in the system? What are the Cy/Cy Cooperations I have/can start? What are the exact requirements of TNs in terms of backgrounds, experience, languages, etc. Go through: Available Forms Tracker External Research What kind of students do I have in my Cy/LC? What backgrounds? What kind of interests? Potential for graduates?

Slide 6 : Pocket Recruitment Step by Step Planning What is my internal capacity? What is the capacity abroad? Marketing Where and how can I reach the target group? What kind of the message should I send? Sell specific JD as a part of an impactful experience! Warning: Strong Cooperation between Communication and Exchange and Talent Management responsible required! Internal promotion Attracting our current membership to take next steps in AIESEC – X!

Slide 7 : Pocket Recruitment Step by Step Constant contact with TN manager Provide some promotional materials about country, city, company Find out more details (flexibility of starting date, duration, profile of pepple) Selection Selection should be done based on the criteria like: Selection for Exchange

Slide 8 : Pocket Recruitment Step by Step GCM Competencies – Level for X! Background of studies (what is the background required by TN taker?) How long can the person spend abroad? (What is the duration of internship offered?) Previous experience – any needed for this internship Motivation Languages – as needed by TN taker Don’t let it take too long! Realize the processes pararelly Selection Criteria

Slide 10 : Fast induction + TR on X Preparation Plan it in advance: timeline and responsibilities! Optimize the processes: Induction, Selection and Matching – do it pararelly! Make sure you deliver the proper induction, aligned with the global frame: Getting to know what AIESEC is Challenge your worldview Personal Goal Setting Joining the AIESEC Network Include X preparation in Induction If they all go to the same country maybe you can provide them with the knowledge about this country? Involve interns, Embassies, ensure quality! Divide the responsibilities of sending and hosting LC!

Slide 11 : Providing Complete AIESEC Experiences Taking Responsibility Stage

Slide 12 : TR on X stage Package the Experience – let them leave TR on X stage Take into consideration the time that they can dedicate to AIESEC and adjust the responsibilities based on this availability Allocate them based on their interests and previous experience Make the JD flexible, so as to they can adjust it to their needs Integrate them with interns – it will motivate them to match quicker! Give them opportunity to involve in learning activities – they can take part in or organize them!

Slide 13 : Involve them in X processes – raising, doing market research. Allow them to support LCVPs in specific area of their interest Make them match themselves! Keep in mind that their TR stage, should be part of their Preparation for Exchange, since soon they will- or should be matched & realized! TR on X stage

Slide 14 : Fast Realization Process Track the matching of the EPs! Keep in touch with TN manager constantly! Facilitate the process of matching – make sure it is happening quickly!

Slide 15 : Reintegration and Leadership Role Keep in touch with the EPs while they are abroad! Meet them once they are back! Prepare the opportunities for them! Have the PGS session once they are back – how did they use the internship for personal growth? What are the other opportunities waiting for them in AIESEC? Involve them in support for EPs, preparation, matching, etc. – they can motivate them to match quickly – they are real life examples!
