What are these : www.abhimanu.com What are these Civil services are for the purpose of this lecture are “government services” But government services are at different levels starting from a clerk to as high as secretary to Prime Minister. But we are talking about specific ones IAS, IPS , IFS, IRS etc constituting of only top level services

Slide 12 : www.abhimanu.com But we wish to provide a realist picture There are few limitations too, Limited salary – after 6th pay commission , starting around 25000 - 30,000/- and other perks ( vehicle, accommodation , phone etc.) Salaries in private sector may be much more.

Slide 13 : www.abhimanu.com Lengthy process – Exam process takes one year and at least one year of preparation is must. Minimum two years are required Limited vacancies – every year on an average 600 – 700 vacancies are coming , which makes it risky affair. You may not be able to make to it even after two years. Requires careful planning and systematic preparation.
