Management Aptitude Test December 01, 2002 The test comprised 200 quest ions, to be solved in a t ime span of 150 minutes. As such no sect ional t ime limit were ment ioned. While there was 1 mark allot ted for each correct answer, the inst ruct ions only ment ioned that there are negat ive marks for wrongly marked answers, however it no quant ificat ion of the same was done. Thus, while solving the paper students had to concent rate more on accuracy. Also, the inst ruct ions ment ioned that the composite score is evaluated out of the marks obtained in the first four sect ions. The decision whether to include or omit the general awareness sect ion in final assessment varied from inst itute to inst itute. Hence student are advised to fairly divide the t ime amongst sect ions as proficiency in all areas was of importance. After removing one pole, number of poles = 5, hence distances = 4 and distance between two poles = 30 4 = 7.5 m. Ans. ( 1) 95. In a race of 600 met res, A can beat B by 60 met res and in a race of 500 met res, B can beat C by 50 met res. By how many met res will A beat C in a race of 400 met res. (1) 56 met res (2) 76 met res (3) 102 met res (4) 49 met res Sol: I f A runs 600 met res, B runs 540 met res. I f A runs 400 met res, B runs 540 600 400 360 ´ = met res. Again when B runs 500 met res, C runs 450 met res. When B runs 360 met res, C runs 450 500 360 324 ´ = m. So A beats C by 400 – 324 = 76 met res. 96. Quest ions 165 – 170 : 5 – 7 quest ions were asked on Crit ical Reasoning. The quest ions were t ricky and close enough. Basically, given a scenario and two conclusions, which one of these or both or none can be inferred. Rest were basically data arrangement quest ions. Both single quest ions as well as quest ion sets were seen. Moderate in difficulty. On the whole the test can be rated as an easy one. The cut -offs would be definitely on the higher side. But this will also vary from inst itute to inst itute. Thus possibly giving a numerical value will not be possible. The above ment ioned are the only quest ions, which we were able to collect from our students. We would be glad to add any more quest ions which you can provide to us.
