THE SENTENCEDefinition: - A group of words so arranged, which makes complete sense is called a sentence.e.g.- Little Jack Horner sat in a corner.Kinds of Sentences:Sentences are of four kinds:-Assertive/Declarative: Sentences that simply affirm or deny something.e.g.:-1. He is writing. (Affirmative) He is not writing. (Negative) 2. Imperative: Sentence that expresses some command, request, advice or Prohibition. e.g.:- 1.Close the door. 2. Please close the door. 3. Always follow the traffic rules. 4. Do not pluck those flowers. 3. Interrogative: Sentences which ask questions. e.g.:- 1.Why are you late? 2. Will you close the door?
