About Ananda Munasinghe

I hold the National Diploma in Technology. I am a Member of the Institute of Incorporated Engineers, Sri Lanka.
I taught English Language in the Department of Education for three years from 1972. The students I taught were extremely backward and hence English was the most hated subject. I had to device ways of making it popular among the students and was very successful. I believe in the total immersion method of teaching English.
Subsequently I joined the Mahaweli Authority and retired after a total service of 33 years including about 10 years as a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Dam Hydraulic Gates and equipment.
I also served as a tutor teaching employees of the Mahaweli Authority English and Engineering subjects. I had been trained in West Germany, France and Switzerland.
I have followed courses in Visual Basic, Communication and Maintenance Management. I love to sing and play music.
