About Subhi Zuraiqqi

I am Subhi Zuraiqqi, a teacher of Arabic as a second language. I graduated from the Faculty of Education, University of Sana'a with B.A in English studies in 1993. Since then I have been teaching English in a secondary school as a teacher of English. This is my main job and I work at school in the afternoon. To meet the bad economic conditions and be able to support my family, I had to find another job and I started teaching in Al-Quds Language Institute from 1995 to 1997. The pay was not good there so I moved to the General Telecommunication Institute. I left it in 2006. I used to work 4-6 hours a day but when the number of hours was reduced to 2, I had to find another job so in 2002 I applied for a job at the Yemen language Center, a part of Yemen College of Middle Eastern Studies where I am still working untll now. I have also experience translation from Arabic to English and English to Arabic. I was honored by the Minister of Education as one of the top 500 teachers all over the country in all subjects in 2002. As a teacher of Arabic I have been ranked the firs and honored several times by the school administration.

I have always been the students' favorite teacher and honored many times by the school administration for that. My 15- year experience in teaching English as a foreign language in preparatory and secondary schools as well as some private institutes helped me a lot in dealing with the problems of Arabic language students.
The second characteristic is my wide knowledge in many fields which makes students like my classes and describe them as interesting.
