I am a Post-Graduate in Statistics from Indian Statistical Institute (I S I), Calcutta and has completed P.G. Diploma in SQC & OR from the same Institute. I obtained Ph.D. in Statistics from Mangalore University.I am a certified ISO-9000 Lead Assessor. I have over 30 years of experience in industry and academics. My main areas of experience include Quality Management Systems, Applications of Statistical Process Control Tools, Data analysis & interpretation. Prior to joining TAPMI as Professor, I worked with Steel Authority of India / Visvesvaraya Iron & Steel Plant, Bhadravati (India); Universiti Tun Abdul Razak (UNITAR), Malaysia; ZIMCO (Zambia Industrial & Mining Corporation) Institute of Management, Zambia; and Sri Venkateswara University Post-Graduate Centre, Kurnool (India). I have extended training for auditing and implementation of Quality Management Systems. I have authored / co-authored four books and published over 15 research / conference papers in Indian / International Journals. I have also guided students for successful completion of Ph.D. My fields of expertise include Statistics, Decision Tools, Business Research Methods, Operations Management and Management of Quality.
