Distance Language Learning via Synchronous Computer Mediated Communication (SCMC): Factors Affecting

This study investigated affecting factors of SCMC in one-to-one English as a foreign language classes. A report on four Israeli SCMC English learners (two adults and two children) is presented. In order to allow a general scope of potential affecting factors, the study aimed at investigating both methodological and technical issues related to language learning in the virtual learning environment (VLE).
