About Michael Spredemann

After starting as a graphic designer I moved into web site development in 2000. Now my main focus is on creating websites using the PHP programing language and the Joomla content management system. I have created sites for a wide variety of clients from local artists to an international manufacturer of dental instruments. Having grown up with a mother who was a high school teacher I have a strong background and love of teaching others. Web sites are not the mystery they once were. I can teach just about anyone to create and manage their own site using the free, open source software tools that are available today.

In 2000 I began teaching myself how to program in the PHP programing language for a personal project. Over the years I have continued to increase my knowledge in PHP, HTML, and CSS. During that time I have tried many of the open source content management system that are available settling first on Mambo and then on Joomla as my area of focus. I have built many sites for various clients and contributed addons for both Mambo and Joomla.
