About Karen Weil

Karen is a writer and teacher with postgraduate coursework and experience in ELL. She has tutored students of all ages, from pre-kindergartners on up to adult learners. Areas of expertise include narrative and argumentative writing as well as SAT and CLEP writing preparation.

Karen believes that successful writing -- and indeed optimal performance on writing exams -- is something that can't be reduced to a formula. Improving one's writing is a matter of honing skills, but also of trusting one's unique voice.
