About Leah MacVie

I love learning about educational trends, and I love sharing what I learn. I believe that we need choices and options in order to solve educational issues. I know education can save the world. I blog for those who want to listen. Leah MacVie is an artist, photographer, designer, wife and Instructional Designer living in Buffalo, NY. She is an Instructional Designer at Canisius College and has a Master’s in Educational Computing. In the past, she’s been an instructional technologist, instructor and graphic designer. She is sole-proprietor of Leah MacVie Photography, a business going on its 6th year! She also develops Web sites and identity on the side. She has experience in the following programs: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Director, Flash, Dreamweaver, Premiere Pro, Go Live, In Design, Fireworks, After Effects, Camtasia, Autodesk Max and Viz, as well as the ANGEL LMS. Her interest is DESIGN: instructional, identity, graphic and Web. She, of course, LOVES photography, enough to own her own business! Her hobbies include watching Star Trek TNG, Deep Space Nine and The Office, eating Sushi and anything dealing with educational technologies.
