• Continued managing ‘Lexical Technology Group’, in charge of development & maintenance for Novell’s language technologies (20 languages) and grammar checkers (acquired in ’96 by Microsoft for integration in Office), coordinating with Albuquerque- and Provo-based teams
• Coordinating R&D for new NLP technologies in support of content management & retrieval: participated in the EU project EuroWordnet; constructed in-house five language semantic network; Natural Language Search SDK

• Managed the ‘Lexical Technology Group’, in charge of development & maintenance for WP’s spellers, thesauri, hyphenators, and the morphological engines and databases underlying these (all languages) and WP’s international grammar checkers, coordinating with Albuquerque- and Orem-based teams
• Reengineered lexical & morphological technologies into unified language-independent system for hyphenation, spelling, and morphological analysis & generation

• Development of the world’s first French and German grammar checkers, re-architected the next generation of Reference’s flagship English grammar checker Grammatik
• Development of the compression & access engines for the Random House and Collins electronic dictionaries & thesauri (later also used in the electronic Van Dale translation dictionaries and Gredos’ Maria Moliner)

• Development of a wide range of corpus and lexicon management tools to support Soft-Art’s multilingual spellers, hyphenators, thesauri, and translation dictionaries, which were integrated in the majority of all word processing applications in the 80’s and 90’s
• Development of Finnish spell checker working with a native speaker and a data entry team
