The school is one of the few remaining colleges for women in Metro Manila. I had been with the school since 1978 as a part-time lecturer. When I was appointed Director, the school was run on "patronage." This was the challenge: to professionalize the management of the school's human resources, and to oversee the five-year development plan.

The owner/manager needed help. I built the department from the ground up, i.e., recruitment and selection, evaluation, in-service training, and the write-up of the employee manual.
