Situational ESL Teaching Methods Used:
1. Drama English- Creating an English Drama and then acting it out in class or digitally making a short ESL movie.
2. Computer/Internet based English- Using interesting and interactive web sites- to ask questions & have students listen, read, speak, and converse.
3. Video/Cartoons Question and Answer Listening/Watching Tests. e.g. What is he doing? Where did he say he was going?
4. Tour Guide ESL- Having the university students enrolled in Tourism give a live tour in English
5. News Paper ESL- Having adult students read together an article and discussing it.
6. Debate English: Pick a topic for adult or advanced ESL learners and have them debate for or against an issue.
7. Question/Answer ESL: Read a story and ask questions.
8. Team 1/Team/2 English: Split the students into teams… read a story, look at pictures…whatever… and ask questions for points.
9. One-on-one tutoring- helping students in their home do their English homework from school.

1. Pre-beginner (Usually kindergarten)
2. Beginner ESL (From learning the alphabet to phonics)
3. Beginner Level One (Learning colors, months, object/animal names...)
4. Post-beginner (Reading simple English and understanding simple phrases/commands/requests)
5. Mid-range ESL (Usually grades 5-8 in elementary school)
6. Upper-level ESL (ESL for Advanced learners able to converse, read almost anything and comprehend books that are TOEIC/TOEFL level.
