Rural midwife.
I have been an employed case loading midwife, a self employed case loading midwife, and a staff midwife working in rural maternity units.
Otago District Health Board has been known by several different names during this time.

I was a staff midwife in Christchurch Women's Hospital delivery suite for about one year. I was also a rural midwife for a couple of months at Waikari Rural Hospital in North Canterbury and Staff Midwife in Rangiora Hospital, North Canterbury from 1982 to 1989

After completing my nursing and midwifery education I worked in Amsterdam, Holland as a staff nurse for 15 months. I then worked as a staff nurse in London. Prior to training in Midwifery I was a staff nurse in Dumfries Scotland.
