Have successfully integrated technology in the classroom and have sparked interest of English/Language Arts in frequently mobile military dependents. The student population I teach is 85% military dependent and present a challenge when trying to constantly assess new students, fill in the gaps, and get them caught up with the general student body.
My first year I led 86% of my Jr.s to success on the state standardized test. This year I have all Sr.s, 25% of which had difficulty passing standardized tests required to graduate. Six months into the school year I have narrowed it down to only 4%, by the end of the year I plan for 100% success on standardized tests, and 100% prepared for college.
I don't necessarily support standardized testing, I feel that the government places way too much emphasis on its importance. Standardized testing only measures One facet of what scholars define as intelligence.
