Technology Vision Statement
Technology is a transparent, vital component in forming partnerships among students, staff, and community; in creating a caring environment; in empowering our students; and in developing life-long learners.
These beliefs support our vision:
We form and strengthen partnerships by providing communication technologies that enhance the community in which we live. (telecommunications)
We create a caring, student-centered, learning environment by providing education and support for our staff in the use of technology to meet the varied needs of students. (technology resources & professional development)
We empower students by providing well-chosen teaching strategies, hardware, and software. (instructional technology)
We enable our graduates to develop as productive, life-long learners by providing access to technologies of research and multimedia production and to become active members of the global community. (instructional and information technologies)
We explore existing and emerging technologies, and develop plans to implement appropriate educational tools, now and in the future. (planning beyond the scope of our 3-year Technology Integration Plan, approved by the Illinois State Board of Education, March 18, 2010)
