Education
Major in Piano performance
National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan
Sep 1995 - Jan 1998
I graduated from the Music-Gifted Class in 1990; the same year,
I was accepted by Taipei National University of The Arts (TNUA) through a directory-entrance exam, with a major in piano performance under Professor Constance Lee’s advise.
Since my college graduation, I was received as a piano-major graduate student with the highest score at the Institute of Music of National Ciao-Tung University.
During my apprenticeship under Dr. Hsing-Chwen Hsin and Dr. Mo-Li Chiang, I was also invited to a piano performance workshop by the Music Department at University of North Texas (UNT), United States. With the recommendation to the PhD program from Dr. Phil Winsor, Chairperson of the Composition at UNT then, Hsieh declined the chance with sorrow and regret due to certain family factors.
