WizIQ Virtual Classroom App for Your Android Device
Attend classes and join discussions, on the move.
WizIQ continues to augment its reach and support for learners by releasing the WizIQ app for the Android mobile operating system. Recently, WizIQ successfully launched an app for iPad users. With the recent surge in popularity of Android tablets, WizIQ is pleased to announce our equally powerful and feature-rich version for users on Android. You can check out all of the features of this latest WizIQ app, now available on Google Play.
The WizIQ app focuses specifically on the needs of students to attend online classes and interact with teachers or classmates. The app has many intuitive and interactive features especially designed for tablet devices. It is simple and remarkable for its usability, while it enables anytime, anywhere access to classroom learning with the Virtual Classroom.
The first version of this app is student-centric, with emphasis on connecting learners to educators and peers and offers many of the features available in the desktop version.
Tablet or personal digital tutor
The app makes online classes on WizIQ more accessible for the growing number of students who carry a tablet with Google’s Android operating system. WizIQ students can attend online classes from home, a cafe, or wherever they happen to be. Just launch the WizIQ app on your Android device and log on to your WizIQ account. On login, the app displays the Live and Upcoming classes screen.
Classes scheduled by your teacher, appear with a button. Tap the Join Class button to enroll in a class. Live classes in which you’re enrolled display with the option Launch Class. Just tap on Launch Class to attend an ongoing class. As the app enables live video and audio streaming, the learning experience is immersive and personal, even as you hold an entire classroom in the palm of your hand.
Sharing is caring
Learners can access presentations, reports, documents, PDFs, and Excel spreadsheets – whatever their teacher shares with them.
So all of your study material and content shared by the teacher is available at the tip of your fingers. You would also be able to use the whiteboard with all its drawing tools and write on it using your device’s touch interface when the teacher allows you to. Class discussions and group interactions form the backbone of WizIQ’s approach, bringing the feel of in-person learning to the online world. There are powerful features for community based learning, where multiple learners and students can communicate with each other using text chat.
A popular feature of virtual classroom is the ease with which students can communicate with their teacher without interrupting a live class. In the real world, you would expect students to raise their hand if they have comments or questions; the WizIQ app enables learners to do the same, albeit a virtual hand.
There are also important group dynamics related to learning in a physical classroom. The WizIQ app aims to bridge the gap between learning in the real world and online learning. To accomplish this, the app enables hassle-free student-teacher interaction and interaction among students. Students can respond to polls and provide real-time feedback to instructors. Just as students interact in the real world, they can seek advice from fellow learners, help each other, start a discussion, contribute to ongoing discussions, and do almost anything that is possible in the actual physical classroom.
The WizIQ app for Android devices is free for WizIQ users. So, put your Android tablet to smart use, and start learning. Anywhere. Anytime.
Android smartphone users should check out the app as well. Although it’s been optimized for 7 and 10 inch tablets (it works brilliantly on the new Nexus 7, for example), the increasing size and screen resolutions available on Android smartphones means that many users of the world’s most popular mobile phone OS will also be able to access WizIQ’s Virtual Classroom on the go.
