How many teachers will contact me and how?

The number of teachers who contact you depends on how well described is your request and how serious it looks. Generally, you should be contacted by at least 03 teachers for each request you submit. Learning Requests with verified email and phone number (our Educational Consultants were able to talk to you), location (city, state, country), educational details and an idea of budget for learning, will get more responses. The number of teachers will also depend on the subject you want to learn (English Speaking can get you 05 responses within a few days, while Memory Enhancement might need more days for teachers to contact you).

How do I decide which teacher to learn from once they have contacted me?

Once enough teachers have contacted you, you will be spoilt in your choice of a teacher. Some factors you can use to select a teacher right for you are:

Are these teachers hired by WiZiQ and are they good?

No. These teachers are not hired by WiZiQ. All of these are real teachers who register with WiZiQ. We recommend that you check out their WiZiQ profiles (please ask them for links) to see more details about them. As discussed above, WiZiQ Profile contains details about their education, experience, certifications as well as upcoming online classes, tests and educational tutorials. This gives you a good idea about whether this is the right teacher for you.

When do I have to pay them?

It is entirely between you and the teacher you select. You and the teacher can discuss and finalize how you would want to pay and how the teacher would want to be paid. This can be discussed before you finalize a particular teacher. Most teachers however, would be flexible in how they would want to be paid.

What is the amount I should pay them?

Teachers from cities like New York, London, Brasilia or New Delhi or teaching professional subjects or Esoteric skills might charge higher than others. Similarly, a highly qualified and experienced teacher might charge higher. The price you and the teacher agree on depends on your discussions. If you are interested in a budget teacher, your budget in Learning Request should indicate the same, so that only teachers who charge within your budget range contact you.

What if we are a group of students to learn online?

This is even better. Please mention "the number of people in a group" in learning request description and also indicate the composite budget. For instance, you can say, we are a group of 10 students and would like to pay collectively $50 per hour.

Do I have to learn online?

No, you dont have to. If you are looking for a teacher to teach you in-person, then indicate so in your Learing Request.

What do I need in order to learn online?

All you need is an Internet connection (256 kbps or more), headset (headphones with mic) and optionally a webcam. You will need to download the latest Flash Player (it is free to do so).

What information does a teacher get about me?

Before a teacher accepts your request, the teacher can see all the information about you other than your contact information. They can contact you only after they accept a learning request. We take a small fee for each request the teachers accept, so that you are contacted only by genuine teachers.
